Whiskey on his breath, pockets lined with remnants of a busted Copenhagen tin, Lonesome Jack stumbles into his one-bedroom situation. The last thing that touched his lips was his hip flask—conveniently also the only thing he’d be snuggling up to that night. Was being lonesome really so bad? He tipped his hat to his reflection, proud, enigmatic, a little rough around the edges. Jack had that mysterious cowboy allure that only an intentionally well-crafted disposition could impose.
Or was it intentional at all? Hard to tell with Lonesome Jack. Ask him if a man can really live like that, and he’d probably shrug and say, “Yes… and it’s not so bad.”
